Have seen great improvement in control and spin with these strings. I will be using these exclusively.
With Twist Purple in my other racquet, Head Exteme MP, I strung Hexagon Red as a cross (40 lbs) to Square X Sharp (42), and along with Purple, found it superior to the smooth poly Protour as a hybrid cross. Whereas Purple seemed to exceed Red in power, durability and control, Red did enhance the spin. The full bed is good, but try it in a hybrid, even as a cross!
Just love how this red looks compared to other red strings. Also has great use for control.
Definitely pairs well with a control frame since this gives you such great control and you feel like you can do so much with it.
This is has been my new favorite that has replaced my initial choice as a junior of using Solinco’s Outlast 17g in my full bed setup. I love using this in a full bed or in blends with it in the crosses or in the mains. Just depends on what other string I am blending it with. Hands down been recommending this string to other younger players.
The Hexagon-X Pearl Red strings have incredible durability, feel, and control, especially when strung at a low tension. In my Wilson Clash 100 at 48lbs, after the first hour or so of fast-paced play, the strings settle in and hold their tension very well. These are my favorite of all of the YTEX strings, after having tested almost all of them multiple times.
